Now you have this hatch pattern all you need to do is import it to your AutoCAD software, for this copy ZIGZAG.PAT file and paste it to support folder of the installation directory. To locate support folder type OP on the command line then press enter, options window will pop up select files tab and expand “support file search path” tree there you will see the location of support file. The second would be to create your own custom master.PAT file and put all of your downloaded hatch patterns in it. Just make sure the path to this file and the folder you store it in is called out in your Support Files Search Path under Options Files and Folders.

Most of you will have probably seen this in Revit and maybe even tried to use it..
A little Tip for you. DO NOT try and import the ACAD.pat file for your hatch patterns. It’s painful and there’s a much much easier way to achieve what you want.
First things first.
Whenever I’m bringing anything from AutoCAD into Revit I like to make sure it’s as clean and efficient as possible. So make a nice neat ACAD File with a swatch array of all the hatch patterns you utilise.

Simply create a new Legend inside your Revit Template file and call it “Fill Patterns” or something similar.

How To Load Hatch Patterns In Autocad 2015
When importing the file, make sure you import it in Black and White. I always change the Import Units also to ensure they come in at the right size and scale.
Once imported into the view.
You can now left click on the Imported CAD File. As with all things in Revit, selecting an object will invoke the contextual Ribbon giving you the tools you need appropriate to the selected element. Free software serials.

How To Make A Hatch Autocad
All of the Hatch swatches will now exist inside your Revit File. Each swatch will be a Filled Region.
The Filled Region will contain a Fill Pattern imported from AutoCAD! :)
